ABOUT THE COSMIC DYE
The fabric is first dyed in a black base colour. Elastic bands are then placed to create the desired patterns. Next, the colour is extracted from the fabric, the elastic bands are removed, and the unique pattern emerges. The fabric is then dyed again in the chosen colour.
All our dyes are created by hand in our colour atelier in Bali. Here we work and collaborate with local artisans, who have carried the art and expertise of traditional dying techniques on for generations. Each product is entirely unique with distinctive one-of-a-kind patterns. That is the beauty of things made by hand and heart.
